How long have you been pulling down?
6.5 years.
Any info you want to share about yourself, your hobbies, your spouse,
or significant other, what you do in the off-season, etc?
When I'm not climbing I like to play basketball, run, hike and do
yoga. I climb year-round so I have no real off-season, but I usually
boulder in the winter and climb routes in the summer.
Any pets?
Golden retriever, and 3 cats.
Any results or highlights you want to tell us about?
I came in 12th Place at a PCA in Salt Lake, and got 3rd Place in
one of the USCCA big 8 events at The Spot. I climbed a project this
year at Arthur's that I had been working on for awhile.
What's your best moment so far in climbing or bouldering?
I'm not sure if I've had one paticular one but I've for sure had
a lot of great ones.
What drives you to climb or boulder?
I love climbing because it's always different, and I'm always learning.
I just like to go out and have fun with friends and find adventure.
What are your goals in climbing or bouldering?
I'd like to climb more routes in general this summer. There are some
things that I would like to do at Rifle, like The 7 PM Show. I want
to climb some more of the really cool problems at Rocky Mountain
National Park, but my main goal is that I just want to keep having
fun.
Who has been an idol or a mentor for you in climbing or bouldering?
I always have looked up to people like Chris Sharma, and Tommy Caldwell
because I like the way they represent climbing.
What's your favorite type of climb or problem?
I don't think I really have a favorite, but I really like tricky
sequences that you don't see right away. I also like really clean
independent lines and I really enjoy dynamic problems.
If you could be anywhere pulling down on rock right now,
where would you be?
Ceuse, because I haven't been there and the routes look amazing.
Any weaknesses?
Pinches and body tension.
If you could be any super hero, who would you be?
Superman because you could fly.
